How much longer...

till they tell us...

Texas diners who like everything — Twinkies to bacon — a heaping lot better if it’s been deep-fried soon may be chowing on healthier cuisine if the Legislature approves a measure to ban heart-clogging artificial trans fats from restaurant meals.
...
If the bill becomes law, Texas would join California and New York City in banning the restaurant use of oils containing artificial trans fats.

...what we can't cook with at home, too? After all, those "heart-clogging artificial trans fats" are just as unhealthy if used at home, too, and unless I miss my guess folks eat at home more often than they eat out. Would that one of those enterprising journalists had asked the reps this who sponsored that bill. And then what else will be banned using the same reasoning used to ban the trans fats? Red wine? Hard liquor? Red meat? Cooking that red meat a certain way? More of the camel's nose under the tent. I shouldn't be surprised, as our Legislature indeed does have its share of leftist assclowns who'd be much more at home in benighted shitholes like New York City and California...but I am still thoroughly disgusted.
