"The irony is that the freedoms we have, we're locked behind closed doors with firearms," Thomas said. "We should be celebrating freedom, but we find ourselves very much restrained by fear."
That may be, but just think of how scared those people would justifiably be if they couldn't get a firearm. It's really something, I tell you what. Certain groups say we don't need guns because the police will protect us, yet things like this still happen -- and in a rural area to boot, which is supposed to be safe. It's almost as if they don't have any idea what they're talking about. I bet you more than a few folks in the Carolinas have figured that out right quick lately.
