There was no explanation of whom "they" referred to.There really didn't need to be any explanation because by now it should be quite obvious. I thought it was beautiful, though, that the AP included that last sentence there. Left unspoken was, "...but from her ramblings it was quite obvious she thought it was the 'Jooooo-controlled media.'"
