The operators of Houston's red-light cameras agreed to shut down the system on Monday, but questions remain about how the company will recover its costs if the city cancels a contract that was to run until 2014.I wonder if that was a Freudian slip on the mayor's part. I realize that there are going to be those who blow through those monitored intersections despite the fact they're being watched, so the cameras WOULD be a source of revenue -- but you'd think Parker would have tried a bit harder not to say something like that.
